Clyde Christian Anderson

CEO and co-founder of GrowthFactor. MIT Sloan MBA. Writes about retail real estate strategy, AI in site selection, and the operator-versus-PE dynamic shaping multi-unit expansion.

Clyde started GrowthFactor with Sam and Raj after an MBA at MIT Sloan. He runs the company and stays close to how operators, franchisees, and PE-backed retailers actually pick sites.

Most of his writing here goes back to one tension: the operator who has run sites for twenty years and the analyst who has built a model for six months are usually not in the same room. The Platform exists so they share the same map, the same score, and the same set of inputs.

He covers strategy, the AI-and-site-selection question that every committee has now, and the widening gap between how operator-led and PE-backed retailers build their pipelines. He'll defend the analyst and the operator with equal energy.
